Use compact source and transition controls

Operate the selected source and scene transition from one compact control panel in floating mode.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. Rehearse changes before using them during a live production.

Where to find it

Floating View > Docks > Quick controls or View > Window > Quick controls.

Use it

  1. Open the intended layout, then select the source you want to operate.
  2. Open Quick controls and check that the controls match that source.
  3. Use Properties, Filters or Interact when offered.
  4. Use media transport for a media source, drawing tools for Draw, or zoom controls for Scene Zoom.
  5. Use the bottom transition controls to select/edit a saved transition and set its duration in ms.
  6. Check the production result and the selected layout before repeating an action.

Source-specific controls

Draw enables drawing instead of moving/resizing the source. Temp removes a new stroke when the pointer is released; turn it off to keep drawing. Undo, Redo and Clear operate on the drawing canvas. Zoom provides Factor, Anchor, Follow and Marker choices for the selected Scene Zoom source. Media offers only the transport actions supported by that source.

Controls wrap or scroll in a smaller panel. If the expected controls are absent, check source selection and type. Closing/reopening Quick controls does not duplicate sources or start an output. Output controls is a separate panel.
