Prepare edits in Studio Mode without changing Program

Use Studio Mode duplication settings when you need to prepare the next look separately from the live picture.

Before you start

Open the collection and layout you intend to use. Prepare the devices, storage, or receiving service required by this workflow.

Where to find it

File > Settings > Studio Mode.

Set it up

  1. Enable Duplicate scene for independent preparation.
  2. Enable Duplicate sources only when supported source properties/filters also need to be independent.
  3. Choose whether to Swap preview/program scenes after transition.
  4. Save settings and test the behavior with a rehearsal scene.
  5. Make the intended changes in Preview, then transition when ready.

What duplication does

Duplicate scene keeps Program unchanged while scene layout, visibility, crop, and transform edits are prepared in Preview. Duplicate sources also isolates supported visual source properties and filters; it requires Duplicate scene and can use additional resources. These are explicit Studio Mode preparation settings; normal collection-shared state still synchronizes across layouts.

Other Studio Mode settings

Transition to scene when double-clicked turns a scene double-click into a transition cue. Enable portrait/vertical layout changes the Preview/Program arrangement. Show preview/program labels identifies the displays.
