Create the scene first, add only the sources the shot needs, and arrange the workspace docks around the way you operate. Prepare the next look in Preview and take it to Program only after checking framing and overlays.
Add the source type that matches the real signal. Confirm the selected camera, display, window, media file, network feed, or guest before adjusting transforms and filters.
Confirm the physical input, watch the meter, set gain without clipping, and verify the intended monitor and output routes. Test the complete mix with the same devices used for the show.
Build reusable visual elements, bind their data, verify entrance and exit behavior, then test every custom cue before using the template in a live scene.
Create the guest connection, confirm video and audio before air, place the guest in the intended scene, and keep a tested return path ready. Review chat presentation separately from private moderation.
Select the intended destination and recording profile, verify resolution and audio, check storage, and run a private rehearsal. Prepare replay inputs and timing before the first live cue.
Troubleshooting
Open the source properties, select the intended device or file again, and confirm that the operating system allows access. If the device is already in use elsewhere, close the competing application and retry.
Confirm which scene is in Preview and which scene is live in Program. Review the selected transition, then perform a private test before changing the live output.
Check the input meter first, then mute state, gain, bus routing, monitoring, and the selected output device. Reduce gain immediately if the meter clips.
Review the safe message shown by MCast, verify the destination and profile, confirm network or storage availability, and retry only after the failed requirement has been corrected.
From Help > Diagnostic Files, export a diagnostic report. Describe the action that failed and contact support. Do not include passwords, payment information, private stream credentials, or other secrets.
