How do I select a range of scenes, sources or media cards?

Extend a selection upward or downward from an anchor item.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and prepare sample content for a rehearsal. Confirm the controls are available in your installed version.

Where to find it

Scenes, Sources or a supported media gallery.

Steps

Click the first item to set the range anchor.
Hold Shift and click the other end of the range.
Check the highlighted rows before a bulk action.
Use Ctrl/Cmd with selection where offered to add or remove individual items.

Check the result

The highlighted range includes the intended items in either direction.

Helpful information

Selecting a scene in Normal can also change the production scene. Multiple selection does not make a bulk delete safe automatically; review the highlight and confirmation.

If something is wrong

Start again with one plain click if the range begins from an unexpected item. Check filters, grouping and collapsed rows before applying an action.
