Layouts and render settings

A layout sets the canvas format and render settings for a collection. Multiple layouts let you prepare different output shapes for the same show.

Before you start

Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.

Where to find it

Layouts > New or Manage.

Use it

  1. Select the collection.
  2. Choose Layouts > New.
  3. Enter Layout Name.
  4. Choose Layout Type.
  5. Choose Render Settings and the video, audio, codec, color, and resize selections.
  6. Save the layout.
  7. Open it from Layouts > Layouts.

Controls and additional tasks

Layouts in the same collection share scene/source content, source visibility and lock, Preview/Program scene selection, and transitions. Position, size, crop, and bounds can differ between layouts. Changing the editor layout does not redirect an already running output. Duplicate, rename, import, export, and remove layouts from the Layouts menu.
