Scene Zoom

Magnify visible sources below this source in the scene stack.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. For capture or network inputs, have the device or sender available.

Where to find it

Sources > Add > Scene Zoom.

Use it

  1. Open the scene that will contain the source.
  2. Choose Add in Sources.
  3. Select Scene Zoom in Create Source.
  4. Enter a name and choose New.
  5. Place Scene Zoom above the sources you want to magnify.
  6. Enable Zoom.
  7. Set Zoom factor.
  8. Choose Zoom anchor and follow behavior.
  9. Set animation and wheel limits.
  10. Choose Save and Close (or OK where shown).
  11. Check the source in Preview before taking it to Program.

Controls and additional tasks

Sources above Scene Zoom remain unchanged; move it to change the affected group. Factor is 1–8. Zoom visibility and the Zoom checkbox are independent. Mouse idle timeout 0 disables the timeout. Cursor halo appears on pointer clicks; choose whether it also appears without zoom. Multiple Scene Zoom sources can be nested.

If something is wrong

If a source is unaffected, check its position relative to Scene Zoom. If the whole scene is affected, move Scene Zoom lower in the stack.

Stop or remove

Hide the source to stop showing its picture. Use its available playback/connection stop control when you need to stop the input itself. Remove the source item from the scene when it is no longer needed. Shared sources can still be used in other scenes.
