Workspace & scenes
Source groups
Organize several sources as a group and optionally let only one group member be visible at a time.
Before you start
Open the intended collection and layout. For capture or network inputs, have the device or sender available.
Where to find it
Sources right-click > Group Selected Sources.
Use it
- Select the sources to group.
- Right-click and choose Group Selected Sources.
- Open group settings.
- Enter Group Name.
- Enable Single active source if you want mutually exclusive members.
- Choose Save.
Controls and additional tasks
Use Add Group for a new empty group. Ungroup releases group members. With Single active source, showing one member hides the others; you can still hide every member.
Control reference
| Control | Use |
|---|---|
| Group Name | Set group name for this item. |
| Single active source | Turn this option on or off for this item. |
| Save | Save the edited settings. |
| Close | Close this window. |
Example
Use one group for alternative lower-third graphics.
Stop or remove
Hide the source to stop showing its picture. Use its available playback/connection stop control when you need to stop the input itself. Remove the source item from the scene when it is no longer needed. Shared sources can still be used in other scenes.
Additional workflow details
For an exclusive source group, showing one source hides other sources in that group. You may still hide all of them. Review source visibility in every open layout; visibility is shared by the collection.
