Find your way around the Normal workspace

Normal brings everyday show controls into task-based panels, with a direct production preview.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. Rehearse changes before using them during a live production.

Where to find it

A layout in a Normal collection; View > Docks or View > Window.

Use it

  1. Open the intended Normal collection and layout.
  2. Open Scenes and choose the shot you want to use.
  3. Use Sources for sources in the selected scene and Guest for participants.
  4. Open Media for Content, Background, Video Clips, Sound and Music.
  5. Open Assets for Overlay/Underlay and Banners for Banner/Ticker.
  6. Check Audio Mixer and monitoring, then review the layout destinations before starting an output.

Working and editing

Clicking a scene in Normal takes it to the production picture using the selected transition. There is no separate Studio Mode preparation stage. The preview is normally protected from accidental canvas editing. Use the scene edit control or a background/asset Edit Transform action before moving items; finish with Done.

The Content panel contains reusable presentation content. It must also have a Content Placement in the scene where you want it shown. Adding content to the library alone does not place it in every scene.

Hidden panels

The View menus act on the focused layout. Select that layout before reopening a panel. Floating mode has a compact launcher and separate Output/Quick controls; a saved arrangement takes precedence over the initial layout.
