Keep Preview or Program visible with Follow Me
Show a small topmost picture when you switch from MCast to another application.
Before you start
Open the intended collection and layout. Rehearse changes before using them during a live production.
Where to find it
The Preview options or Program options menu for a layout: Follow Me.
Use it
- Open the intended layout and enable Follow Me for Preview, Program or both.
- Switch to another application window and check the small picture.
- Move it to a convenient place without covering important controls.
- Return to any MCast window; the Follow Me picture hides.
- Uncheck Follow Me for that feed to disable it.
Independent feeds and dismissal
Preview and Program have independent choices for each layout. Enabling the option while MCast is foreground does not immediately open a picture. Closing a Follow Me window dismisses that feed for the current time away from MCast. Return to MCast, then switch away again to allow it to appear again. To keep it off, uncheck the menu choice.
Only layouts in the active collection can show these pictures. Follow Me is unavailable on some desktop sessions; if MCast reports it unavailable, use a supported session or an ordinary projector. Switching to the desktop/taskbar is different from focusing another application.
Follow Me helps you watch a feed; it does not verify delivery to viewers or select a broadcast destination.
