How do I create and switch scenes?

Follow this workflow to create and switch scenes.

Before you start

Prepare the sources needed for each camera shot or layout.

Where to find it

Scenes panel.

Steps

Use the Scenes panel Add action.
Enter the scene name.
Choose Scene Type and Transition where offered.
Save the scene.
Add sources to it.
Select the scene to inspect it in Preview.

Check the result

Switch between two scenes and check the intended picture.

Helpful information

Scene settings include card and hover previews for the scene and its sources, plus Exclude Overlay and Exclude Underlay. Rename or remove a scene from its menu. Removing a scene changes the collection shared by its layouts.

If something is wrong

If a source disappears, check scene membership and visibility.
