Resize content with Behavior and Flexy
Flexy keeps visual content centered and in proportion while you change its frame.
Before you start
Open the intended collection and layout. Rehearse changes before using them during a live production.
Where to find it
A source’s Behavior action; a scene’s Scene Settings for nested scenes.
Use it
- Select the intended source and choose Behavior.
- Enable Mark it Flexy and choose Save.
- Resize the source frame and check that its content remains centered and proportionate.
- For a nested scene, enable Mark it Flexy in that scene’s settings as needed.
- Turn the option off and save if you need ordinary source resizing.
Frame versus content
Flexy changes how content fits its frame; it does not change the recording resolution or choose an output feed. It is useful when a reusable presentation area must fit different shots. A nested scene uses its own scene-level choice. Check the whole composition after changing the frame.
If editing is unavailable
Check locks and, in Normal, enter the appropriate scene or card editing mode first. Close leaves the Behavior dialog without saving its pending change.
Scene fitting
A scene’s Center and fit sources option fits its sources in the layout and can reposition existing items when saved. It is separate from the Flexy choice. Review existing geometry before enabling it, particularly in a composed multi-source scene.
