Scene

Reuse a complete scene inside another scene, or edit another scene in Scene Mix while keeping the main scene selected.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. For capture or network inputs, have the device or sender available.

Where to find it

Sources > Add > Scene.

Use it

1. Create the reusable scene first.
2. Open the destination scene.
3. Add a Scene source.
4. Choose the scene in the picker.
5. Choose Add.
6. Open Scene Mix to edit the referenced scene sources.

Controls and additional tasks

The picker excludes the destination scene, system-managed scenes, and references that would create a loop. The Scene Mix selector lets you choose a scene without changing the main scene selection.

Example

Create a reusable Camera Frame scene and place it in several presentation scenes.

Stop or remove

Hide the source to stop showing its picture. Use its available playback/connection stop control when you need to stop the input itself. Remove the source item from the scene when it is no longer needed. Shared sources can still be used in other scenes.
