Control tickers in a Motion Template source
Adjust each ticker’s movement without editing the original template design.
Before you start
Open the intended collection and rehearse before changing a live production. Controls depend on your installed version and selection.
Where to find it
Motion Template source Properties > Tickers, or Normal Banners > Ticker.
Use it
- Choose a template containing at least one ticker.
- Open source Properties and expand Tickers.
- Select the ticker by its authored element name, even if there is only one.
- Set Direction, Speed, Gap, Loop and Paused.
- Save and check the ticker in the actual scene.
- In Normal Banners > Ticker, select the element/direction in the menu row, set Speed/Gap below it and use Loop/Paused in the bottom status bar.
Helpful information
Paused holds the current position; clearing it resumes movement. Gap separates repeating content and Loop repeats it. Each ticker has independent settings. The Tickers section is absent when the selected template contains no ticker.
For a template with exactly one ticker, offered source quick controls include Loop and Paused. For multiple tickers, use the named selector in Properties or the Normal Ticker panel. Ticker settings are separate from Manual playback’s Auto next, interval and Loop. Source Properties has no separate ticker Preview Play/Stop buttons; use the actual source picture to check movement. The designer’s preview controls belong to authoring.
