Play video clips, sound and music in Normal

Prepare clips and sound in the Media panel, then control playback and monitoring from their cards.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. Rehearse changes before using them during a live production.

Where to find it

Normal Media > Video Clips / Sound / Music.

Use it

  1. Choose the matching tab for video, sound effects or music.
  2. Add supported files, or drop them into that tab.
  3. Select a card and check its Properties, visibility and Loop setting.
  4. Use play/pause, stop or seek controls when available.
  5. Check the input’s mute, level, Master/bus routing and monitoring in Audio Mixer.
  6. For video shown as an overlay, check Action > Overlay Mapping > Video before taking it on screen.

Clips and timing

Video Clips also offers Intro and Outro slots. Prepare their file and playback settings before the show. A stopped clip and a hidden clip are different states; check playback and visibility together. Loop keeps supported media repeating until stopped or disabled.

Sound and Music controls are for listening material; monitoring alone does not prove the broadcast or recording receives it. Verify the output Audio Track routing with a short sample. Avoid monitoring a captured playback device back into itself.
