Organize the Normal Content library into groups

Keep a large Content library easy to browse without changing its files or playback.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and rehearse before changing a live production. Controls depend on your installed version and selection.

Where to find it

Normal Media > Content > New Group.

Use it

  1. Choose New Group.
  2. Rename the group with its header pencil or context action.
  3. Select the cards to organize.
  4. Drag those cards onto the group header or blank body, or use Move to Group when offered.
  5. Expand the group and check its cards.
  6. Use the header delete action only when you want to remove the group organization.

Helpful information

A group header and its chevron expand or collapse the cards. A collapsed header and an empty group’s body still accept card drops. Dragging cards moves the dragged cards; review the payload when your selection differs. Card-edge drops can reorder cards. These controls also work in Compact mode.

Delete Group (keep items) returns its cards to Default and preserves their files and playback. Default is the built-in ungrouped area and has no rename/delete action. Deleting content cards is a separate action. Content library groups do not enable scene/source grouping in Normal and are separate from the Dynamic Source Groups in Options.
