How do I configure reconnection for interrupted outputs?

Follow this workflow to configure reconnection for interrupted outputs.

Before you start

Decide the retry delay and limit appropriate for the destination.

Where to find it

File > Settings > Automatically Reconnect.

Steps

  1. Enable Automatically Reconnect.
  2. Choose Retry Delay (seconds).
  3. Choose Maximum Retries.
  4. Save.
  5. Monitor the destination status during an interruption.

Check the result

Check the visible destination state and receiver after a connection interruption.

Helpful information

A reconnect policy restarts failed destination sessions. Lower-priority destinations may be dropped to protect higher-priority destinations. Review destination priority before production.

If something is wrong

Review the selected recovery options and destination connection details; a retry attempt is not confirmation of delivery.
