Recording, broadcasting & outputs
How do I go live?
Follow this workflow to go live.
Before you start
Prepare the scene you want viewers to see, your broadcast account or destination details, and the microphone mix. Check that the account can broadcast.
Where to find it
Layout Output > Broadcast Output Profile.
Steps
- Open the intended layout and choose Output > Broadcast Output Profile > New.
- Enter Broadcast Output Name. Choose Broadcast Type and Broadcast Account, or Connect a new broadcast account.
- Choose Output Feed. Use Program for the on-air picture; choose and verify the target when using a scene or source.
- Configure Render & Routing for the destination. Open Audio Track and assign the mix you want viewers to hear.
- Choose Save, then attach the profile through Output > Destinations > Broadcast Destination > Add. Finish with Done.
- Start the attached broadcast. Select an existing broadcast or Create New if offered.
- Review title, privacy, audience, and selected destinations before confirming Start.
- Wait for the destination running state and verify the platform receives picture and sound.
- Use Stop on the intended destination when the show is finished. Confirm it has stopped.
Check the result
Check the destination running state, then open the receiving platform and confirm picture, sound, title, and audience. A local preview alone does not confirm viewers receive the stream.
Helpful information
Saving a profile prepares the settings. Attaching it makes it available to the layout. Start begins delivery. If you use Studio Mode, check Program before going live.
If something is wrong
If Start is blocked, review the validation message, account status, destination attachment, selected feed, and audio assignment. Use Refresh or Reauthenticate for an account that needs renewed access.
