Inspect built-in presets and create custom settings

View supplied preset values safely and make your own editable choices when needed.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and check the result before using it during a production. Controls depend on the installed version and current selection.

Where to find it

The View/Edit action beside a selected video, audio, codec, color, resize or render preset.

Use it

  1. Select the preset and open its offered View or Edit action.
  2. Read the view-only notice for a built-in preset; its fields are not editable and Save is unavailable.
  3. Close the inspection, then choose New for your own editable preset or use direct fields in a supported section.
  4. Save a custom entry and check that the parent chooser has selected the intended entry.

Helpful information

Built-in values are supplied choices. Inspecting them does not change the preset or your output. New/custom presets remain editable; supported direct sections can start from a built-in choice without modifying that built-in entry.

A nested New/Save selects the newly saved entry. Cancel retains the previous choice. Some actions display View for a built-in preset and Edit for a custom one. Review the resulting selection before saving the parent profile.
