How do I save a backup while broadcasting?

Follow this workflow to save a backup while broadcasting.

Before you start

Prepare a writable backup folder and compatible file type.

Where to find it

Layout Output > Broadcast Output Profile.

Steps

  1. Edit the intended Broadcast Output Profile and configure its destination, feed, render settings, and Audio Track.
  2. Enable Record Broadcast as a backup.
  3. Choose the backup Folder and compatible File Type.
  4. Use Create the file name automatically or set File Name or Template.
  5. Choose Recording Mode and Chunk Duration where needed.
  6. Save and attach through Broadcast Destination.
  7. Start the broadcast after reviewing its audience and details.
  8. Stop when finished and check both the receiving broadcast and the backup recording.

Check the result

Check the live destination and the finished backup file separately.

Helpful information

Broadcast Type determines the provider/endpoint options. Broadcast Account chooses the authorized identity. Priority (0-100) determines priority when available output resources are constrained. Provider Endpoint, IP family, bind address, and other transport settings appear for the selected delivery type.

If something is wrong

Enable Record Broadcast as a backup and review folder, file naming, recording mode, and available space.
