Fix shortcuts that do not respond

Find disabled, conflicting or incorrectly targeted assignments without changing unrelated shortcuts.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. Make changes during preparation and check a short rehearsal before using them in a live show.

Where to find it

File > Shortcuts and File > Settings > System > Advanced.

Set it up

  1. Search for the command or captured control in Shortcuts.
  2. Check State, Shortcut enabled, Input and Target / Value.
  3. Check Saved in and open the collection the assignment needs.
  4. Review other assignments using the same input.
  5. Check Shortcut Focus Behaviour and test with the intended window focused.
  6. Correct one assignment, save it and test again.

Needs Attention

An unavailable target, device or command can leave a saved assignment requiring attention. Reopen its editor and choose a current target or input; do not repeatedly press a key that might start an unintended output.

Wrong action runs

Check collection-specific assignments as well as application assignments. A collection assignment can take priority over a matching application control. Also check whether a focused editing surface owns that key.

Continuous input does nothing

Choose a command that accepts changing values and confirm Continuous value is offered for the selected device. Feedback lights are configured separately through Signals.
