How do I assign a MIDI, Shuttle or gamepad button?
Only the intended action and target respond.
Before you start
Open the intended collection/layout and prepare a safe rehearsal. Have the device, media or receiving service required by the task available.

Steps
- Open File > Shortcuts > Add Shortcut.
- Choose the input device and operate the intended control.
- Select the offered press/release trigger and a command, target and saved scope.
- Choose Save Shortcut and test a harmless action.
Check the result
Only the intended action and target respond.
