Preview and apply shortcut templates

Add a ready-made set of assignments while reviewing its keys, commands and collection targets.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. Make changes during preparation and check a short rehearsal before using them in a live show.

Where to find it

File > Shortcuts > Shortcut Templates.

Set it up

Select the intended template, such as Default Keyboard, Motion Template Designer, Replay Controller or Audio Controller.
Choose Cards or List under Display as.
Review the inputs and commands in the preview.
Choose the collection and resolve Collection targets where required.
Choose Apply.
Return to the assignments list and test the intended actions.

Existing assignments

Apply adds the configured shortcuts and preserves existing assignments. Review any matching inputs and Needs Attention entries afterward; selecting a template does not replace the focused built-in editor keys.

Portable targets

A named scene, source or audio target from another collection may not be suitable in the current collection. Choose the intended target before applying rather than assuming its name identifies the same item.

If Apply is unavailable

Select a template and collection, then complete required targets. Use the assignment list to inspect any unresolved input or command.
