How do I run an action when an event happens?
Follow this workflow to run an action when an event happens.
Before you start
Choose the event, target, action sequence, and suitable delays.
Where to find it
File > Triggers; source Properties menu > Trigger.
Steps
- Choose the event owner.
- Choose Add.
- Enter Trigger name and select Event.
- Set playback time/remaining when applicable.
- Set Start Delay, Cooldown, and Enabled.
- Choose Manage Actions.
- Add actions and choose targets/values.
- Order actions and choose Done.
Check the result
Cause a safe test event and verify action order.
Helpful information
Start Delay precedes the trigger. Cooldown prevents rapid reruns. Stop when inactive cancels delayed work after the owner becomes inactive. Each action Wait before action starts after the previous action is started, not after media finishes. The first action also waits for Start Delay. Disable a row to keep it without running it.
If something is wrong
Review enabled rows, trigger conditions, Start Delay, Cooldown, and Wait before action.
