Check signal devices and feedback delivery

Find available feedback targets and diagnose saved mappings whose receiver is missing.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. Make changes during preparation and check a short rehearsal before using them in a live show.

Where to find it

Tools > Signal > Devices.

Set it up

  1. Connect the supported controller or receiving client.
  2. Choose Devices, then Refresh.
  3. Read the target name, status and notes.
  4. Return to the mapping and select the intended device/control.
  5. Choose Test and inspect Feedback activity.
  6. Change the relevant application state during a rehearsal and check the receiver.

Discovery and saved devices

MIDI and game controllers are discovered from this computer. Built-in targets remain listed. A previously saved device can appear as unavailable; a saved name alone is not proof that it is connected.

No light or display change

Check the device status, control, feedback type and scope. Check Live states to see whether the selected signal actually changed. If a command runs from a button but no light updates, configure Signals separately from its shortcut.

Move to another computer

Importing a mapping does not attach the same physical device automatically. Review each target and test again on the new computer.
