Create an application-event trigger

Run actions in response to a selected event listed by MCast Studio.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. Make changes during preparation and check a short rehearsal before using them in a live show.

Where to find it

File > Triggers.

Set it up

  1. Select the intended application event in the owner selector.
  2. Choose Add, enter a name and use the offered Event Occurred event.
  3. Set start delay, cooldown and enabled state.
  4. Choose Manage Actions and add the intended supported action/target.
  5. Choose Done, then cause the real event in a safe rehearsal.

Pick from the list

Use the application events offered by the current app. A scene becoming Program is a scene trigger; a source reaching playback time is a source trigger. Do not guess an event name.

If events cannot load

Close and reopen Triggers, then choose the event again. Check that the intended collection is open. A trigger with no enabled action produces no useful result.

Disable without removal

Turn off Enabled if you want to pause this automation while retaining its configuration.
