How do I cancel a delayed action when a scene becomes inactive?

Pending actions stop when their owner no longer applies.

Before you start

Open the intended collection/layout and prepare a safe rehearsal. Have the device, media or receiving service required by the task available.

Where to find it

See Trigger delays, cooldown and inactive cancellation for the exact controls and navigation.

Steps

  1. Choose the intended scene/source trigger.
  2. Enable Stop when inactive where offered.
  3. Review Start Delay and action waits, then save the edit.
  4. Rehearse activating then leaving the owner before the delay ends.

Check the result

Pending actions stop when their owner no longer applies.

Helpful information

This does not undo an action already performed or remove the rule.

If something is wrong

Check the owner and whether it remains active through another live use.
