Manage Normal overlay and underlay assets
Use asset cards for reusable pictures and clips, and map the desired asset collection to an overlay channel.
Before you start
Open the intended collection and layout. Rehearse changes before using them during a live production.
Where to find it
Normal Assets > Overlay / Underlay; Action > Overlay Mapping.
Use it
- Choose Overlay or Underlay and select the intended asset tab.
- Use Add asset to add an image/video, or drop supported files into its gallery.
- Toggle the card’s visibility and check which layer appears in the production picture.
- Use Properties or Rename for the selected asset; use Edit Transform and the Done check for placement.
- For Overlay, open Settings to change Asset Tab Names, then use Action > Overlay Mapping to choose the content for each channel.
- For Underlay, open Settings or Design to adjust its channel settings or area.
Mapping is separate from choosing a card
An overlay channel can use an asset tab or offered Banner, Platform Chat, Ticker or Video content. Choose None to leave a channel without that assignment. Naming an asset tab does not start a clip or put an overlay on screen. Review the selected channel, mapping and card visibility together.
Multiple selection and deletion
A normal click selects one card. Use Ctrl/Cmd or Shift to extend selection. Multiple selection is for deleting selected assets; select one item for editing or reordering. Deletion removes the selected show assets and their reused placements, so check where they are used before confirming. Use visibility when you only want to hide an asset.
Finishing the card’s transform edit returns the canvas to the scene; switching asset tabs ends the previous edit.
