Use Banner and Ticker in Normal
Prepare a title or scrolling message, then map it to the overlay channel where it should appear.
Before you start
Open the intended collection and layout. Rehearse changes before using them during a live production.
Where to find it
Normal Banners > Banner / Ticker; Action > Overlay Mapping.
Use it
- Choose Banner for a title or Ticker for scrolling text.
- Edit the source content with its offered controls.
- Open Action > Overlay Mapping and choose Banner or Ticker for the intended channel.
- Save the mapping and toggle the source visibility.
- Check the final text, placement and readability in a rehearsal scene.
What viewers see
Mapping chooses which channel carries this content. Visibility chooses whether the content is shown. Check both if text is missing. A saved mapping can be changed to None or another asset without rewriting the text.
Keep messages short enough to read at the output size. Check the first and last words of a ticker and leave time for the full message to pass before hiding it.
