Why can’t I delete a motion template from the library?
Keep templates used by a show available and remove only an unused template.
Before you start
Check all collections that may use the template; export a copy if you need it later.
Where to find it
The delete action in the Motion Template library.
Steps
- Select the template and read the delete tooltip.
- Find sources, guest graphics or dynamic content that use it, including in other collections.
- If you intend to stop using it, choose a replacement in those items first.
- Return to the library and delete only when the action is available.
Check the result
A template still used by a show is protected from deletion.
Helpful information
Hiding a source or closing its collection does not remove its template reference. Duplicate a used template if you need a separate editable variation.
If something is wrong
Check inactive collections and sources kept for reuse. Contact support if a template remains protected after you have reviewed its uses.
