Play music or other local audio.

Before you start

Where to find it

Sources > Add > Audio Source.

Use it

  1. Open the scene that will contain the source.
  2. Choose Add in Sources.
  3. Select Audio Source in Create Source.
  4. Enter a name and choose New.
  5. Choose Browse and select the audio file.
  6. Use the direct preview meter and playback controls.
  7. Set playback options.
  8. Choose Save and Close (or OK where shown).
  9. Check the source in Preview before taking it to Program.

Controls and additional tasks

Preview playback is separate from the saved source mixer. Speed (%) changes playback rate and pitch; pitch preservation is unavailable. Loop repeats the file, Restart resets it on activation, Show nothing when playback ends stops audio, and Close file when inactive releases the file.
