  2. Choose Add in Sources.
  3. Select Video Source in Create Source.
  4. Enter a name and choose New.
  5. Choose Browse and select a local video.

Controls and additional tasks

Loop repeats playback. Restart when active starts playback when the source becomes active. Show nothing when playback ends hides the finished picture. Close file when inactive releases the file. Flip, reverse, speed, and color-range options change playback appearance. Full Range clears marks. Play only marked area affects the dialog preview. Keep Mark Area creates a new file containing the range; Trim Mark Area creates a new file without it. Choose the output folder; the original file stays intact. Local media controls depend on using the source as Content.

If something is wrong

If the timeline is disabled, select a valid file whose duration can be read. If the wrong segment plays, check both marks.

Stop or remove

Hide the source to stop showing its picture. Use its available playback/connection stop control when you need to stop the input itself. Remove the source item from the scene when it is no longer needed. Shared sources can still be used in other scenes.
