Synchronize visual filters on references to the same scene

Keep matching scene references in one collection on the same visual filter chain.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and check the result before using the change during a production. Available controls depend on your installed version and selection.

Where to find it

The source visual Filters > Sync checkbox, when offered.

Use it

  1. Open the Filters of the scene reference whose current appearance you want to use.
  2. Review its chain and Edges choice before enabling Sync.
  3. Enable Sync and check another reference to the same scene in this collection.
  4. Disable Sync before preparing independent visual chains for those references.

Helpful information

Enabling Sync applies the selected reference’s visual chain to other references to the same scene in the collection. Later visual filter edits, order, bypass, names and Edges changes stay synchronized for that linked set. Review existing differences first because enabling Sync replaces the other references’ visual chains.

This is not a link between unrelated sources or collections. Reusing an ordinary source already shares that source’s settings across its placements. Audio filters, scene-item placement, crop and transforms are not copied by visual Sync. Turning Sync off stops further synchronization; it does not restore older filter chains. Use Undo for an accidental change when available.
