Built-in filters
MCast Blur Selected Face
Scan local media and choose the faces to cover.
Before you start
Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.
Where to find it
Source right-click > Filters > Add Filter.
Use it
- Add MCast Blur Selected Face to the source.
- Choose Get All Faces.
- Wait for the scan or choose Cancel Scan.
- Choose Show Faces.
- Select the faces in Selected Faces.
- Choose Done.
- Review the result across the media range.
Controls and additional tasks
This effect runs before other source effects. Detection Confidence and Minimum Face Size apply to the next scan. Review all relevant parts of the media before sharing.
Effect settings
| Setting | Use and limits |

| Style | Soft Blur, Pixelate, or Solid Mask. Only the relevant style controls are shown. |
| Amount (%) | Effect coverage/strength, 0–100; default 100. |
| Blur Radius (pixels) | Soft Blur size, 1–80; default 24. Larger blur obscures more detail. |
| Pixel Size | Pixelate block size, 2–100; default 20. Larger blocks show less detail. |
| Mask Color | Solid Mask fill color; default opaque black. |
| Mask Shape | Ellipse or Rectangle; default Ellipse. |
| Mask Expansion (%) | Increase the covered region beyond the detected face, 0–150; default 35. |
| Edge Softness (%) | Soften the mask boundary, 0–50; default 10. |
| Detection Confidence (next scan) | Minimum accepted detection confidence, 0.1–0.99; default 0.8. Higher values reject more uncertain detections. |
| Minimum Face Size (next scan) | Ignore faces smaller than this size, 4–512; default 24. |
If something is wrong
If the gallery is empty, check the selected local media and scan settings.
