Built-in filters
MCast Shader Filter
Apply a compatible custom MCast effect supplied as a shader file or text.
Before you start
Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.
Where to find it
Source right-click > Filters > Add Filter.
Use it
- Add MCast Shader Filter.
- Enable Load From File to select a supplied Shader File, or enter the supplied Shader Source.
- Use Use Complete Shader Module only when the supplied effect requires it.
- Choose Reload Shader after changing the effect.
- Check the live picture.
Controls and additional tasks
Expansion controls add space on each edge for effects extending beyond source bounds. Audio Source selects an input when the supplied effect uses audio.
Effect settings
| Setting | Use and limits |
|---|---|
| Expand Left | Add space at the left edge for effect pixels outside the source. |
| Expand Right | Add space at the right edge for effect pixels outside the source. |
| Expand Top | Add space above the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. |
| Expand Bottom | Add space below the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. |
| Use Complete Shader Module | Enable only if the effect author instructs you to use this option. |
| Load From File | Load from Shader File instead of the text editor. |
| Shader Source | Enter the supplied compatible effect text. |
| Shader File | Select the supplied effect file. |
| Reload Shader | Reload the changed effect. |
| Audio Source | Select an audio input for audio-reactive effects. |
If something is wrong
If the effect fails, use a compatible effect from its author or bypass/remove it.
