Choose effect colors and rounded corners

Use the color controls and corner settings offered by the selected effect.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and rehearse before changing a live production. Controls depend on your installed version and selection.

Where to find it

Source Filters > Add Filter, or an existing effect’s parameters.

Use it

  1. Select the intended effect.
  2. Use its color picker instead of looking for separate color-component numbers.
  3. Set opacity only when that picker offers it.
  4. For MCast Stroke Advanced, adjust Corner Radius (pixels) and compare the live source.
  5. Use MCast Rounded Corners for the standalone rounded-corner effect.

Helpful information

Effect ranges and units depend on the selected control. Use the displayed slider/numeric limits; a long time-position range in another effect can still be valid. RGB-only colors have no opacity control, while colors with alpha offer it.

Stroke Advanced’s zero radius keeps square corners. Increasing it rounds the source and stroke contour; the effective radius cannot exceed half the smaller input dimension. Check crop, padding and Edges Current/Original when an outside stroke is clipped. Existing valid saved values are retained; review the picture after an update if an older out-of-range setting changes.
