How do I grant capture permission and retry a source?
Use the requested permission flow when a protected capture feature needs access.
Before you start
Use the intended installed MCast copy and the operating-system permission screen.
Where to find it
The permission dialog shown by startup or the requested capture feature.
Steps
- Read the permission name and use its offered operating-system action.
- Grant the requested access and follow any Quit & Reopen instruction.
- Return to MCast and choose Refresh.
- Continue setup when available, or retry the intended capture feature.
Check the result
The intended feature can use the permission you granted.
Helpful information
A feature-specific permission dialog can close once that permission is available. Closing it leaves the protected feature unavailable until access is granted. Do not reset unrelated app permissions.
If something is wrong
Check the correct app copy and permission category. Contact support if Refresh still shows missing access.
