Display Capture

Capture a selected display.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. For capture or network inputs, have the device or sender available.

Where to find it

Sources > Add > Display Capture.

Use it

  1. Open the scene that will contain the source.
  2. Choose Add in Sources.
  3. Select Display Capture in Create Source.
  4. Enter a name and choose New.
  5. Choose Display.
  6. Choose Capture Method.
  7. Set Capture Cursor.
  8. Use Force SDR when the captured HDR display appears washed out.
  9. Choose Save and Close (or OK where shown).
  10. Check the source in Preview before taking it to Program.

Controls and additional tasks

Check the complete display in Preview before taking it to Program; everything visible on that display can appear in the show.

If something is wrong

If the wrong display appears, select Display again after monitor changes.

Stop or remove

Hide the source to stop showing its picture. Use its available playback/connection stop control when you need to stop the input itself. Remove the source item from the scene when it is no longer needed. Shared sources can still be used in other scenes.
