iPhone/iPad Screen

Capture a trusted USB-connected iPhone or iPad screen on macOS.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. For capture or network inputs, have the device or sender available.

Where to find it

Sources > Add > iPhone/iPad Screen.

Use it

  1. Open the scene that will contain the source.
  2. Choose Add in Sources.
  3. Select iPhone/iPad Screen in Create Source.
  4. Enter a name and choose New.
  5. Connect the device to the Mac with USB.
  6. Unlock it and trust the Mac.
  7. Choose the device in the camera-style properties.
  8. Check the screen preview.
  9. Choose Save and Close (or OK where shown).
  10. Check the source in Preview before taking it to Program.

Controls and additional tasks

This source is available only on macOS. The screen size follows device orientation. Protected content may not be shared. Camera-style properties provide supported format/audio/activation controls.

If something is wrong

If the device is absent, unlock it, confirm trust, and refresh devices.

Stop or remove

Hide the source to stop showing its picture. Use its available playback/connection stop control when you need to stop the input itself. Remove the source item from the scene when it is no longer needed. Shared sources can still be used in other scenes.
