How do I add a delay or countdown before an output starts?
The output starts after preparation, its wait and the chosen confirmation countdown.
Before you start
Open the intended collection/layout and prepare a safe rehearsal. Have the device, media or receiving service required by the task available.
Where to find it
See Output confirmations, wait time and reconnect for the exact controls and navigation.
Steps
- Open File > Settings > Output > Output.
- Enable Use Wait Time for the intended family and enter seconds.
- Enable its Use confirmation time option for the visible 3, 2, 1, GO! countdown if needed.
- Save, then rehearse a local/private output.
Check the result
The output starts after preparation, its wait and the chosen confirmation countdown.
Helpful information
Each output runs its own countdown. Wait Time is different from a broadcast delivery delay.
If something is wrong
If preparation fails, fix that issue first; waiting cannot make an invalid profile ready.
