How do I choose the default audio monitoring device?
You hear the intended sound through the selected device.
Before you start
Open the intended collection/layout and prepare a safe rehearsal. Have the device, media or receiving service required by the task available.

Steps
- Connect your listening device and open File > Settings > System > Audio.
- Refresh audio devices if necessary and choose Default Monitoring Output.
- Save, then listen with headphones and check the intended source/bus.
Check the result
You hear the intended sound through the selected device.
Helpful information
Collection Monitor Channels can choose devices independently. Monitoring is separate from recording-track routing.
If something is wrong
Check monitor-channel Output Device and mute/routing if the default alone does not produce sound.
