How do I find and save a main setting?
The intended preference remains selected when you reopen the page.
Before you start
Open the intended collection/layout and prepare a safe rehearsal. Have the device, media or receiving service required by the task available.

Steps
- Open File > Settings.
- Search for the setting or choose its navigation page.
- Edit the required control and review any validation/restart message.
- Choose Save, then check the result.
Check the result
The intended preference remains selected when you reopen the page.
Helpful information
Cancel discards pending preferences, but does not undo a completed cleanup or separately saved preset.
If something is wrong
Clear search if a page disappears. Check for unchanged values or validation if Save is unavailable.
