Feature guides & settings
- Getting started with MCast StudioA source supplies picture, sound, or text. A scene combines sources into a shot. A collection holds the show. A layout gives it a canvas size and render settings. Preview is the picture you prepare; Program is the picture a Program output receives.
- Frequently Asked QuestionsFind a practical workflow for a common MCast Studio task. Each answer links to a separate guide with preparation, steps, result checks, helpful information, and troubleshooting.
- First launch and permissionsSet up the first workspace and grant the permissions requested for capture and controls.
- Account, sign-in, and licenseReview your account, plan, validity, and feature limits. Sign-in is required when MCast asks you to activate or renew access.
- Menus and navigationThe main menu controls the application and active collection. Each open layout has its own Edit, Manage, Docks, Window, and Output menus. Select the intended layout before using an action. Right-click scene/source cards, mixer strips, replay events, and Preview/Program surfaces for context-specific actions. An unavailable item can depend on selection, capability, entitlement, or the current output state.
- Keyboard shortcuts and mouse actionsShortcuts depend on the focused surface. A built-in menu gesture is active in that editing context; a template assignment is configurable and depends on the template being applied and enabled. A command without a listed template assignment has no assigned template key; choose one in File > Shortcuts.
- Preferences, accessibility, and languageAdjust interface appearance, production confirmations, preview behavior, audio defaults, and system preferences.
- Help, updates, statistics, and diagnosticsFind help, review the version/license, and gather a support report.
- Updates and release notesReview installed version, latest release information, and published release notes.
- Local diagnostic logs and retentionConfigure local diagnostic detail and save a support report when needed.
