MCast Simplex Noise

Applies the simplex noise visual effect.

Before you start

Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.

Where to find it

Source right-click > Filters > Add Filter.

Use it

  1. Select the source and open Filters.
  2. Choose Add Filter.
  3. Search for MCast Simplex Noise and add it.
  4. Adjust the controls below in the live preview.
  5. Compare with bypass enabled.
  6. Keep the effect only if the result suits the scene.

Controls and additional tasks

Reset returns defaults; disable bypasses without deletion. Filter order affects the picture.

Effect settings

SettingUse and limits
Expand LeftAdd space at the left edge for effect pixels outside the source. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand RightAdd space at the right edge for effect pixels outside the source. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand TopAdd space above the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand BottomAdd space below the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Snap PercentSet snap percent for this effect. Default: 7.5; Range: 0–100.
Speed PercentAdjust speed percent; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 2.5; Range: 0–100.
ResolutionSet resolution for this effect. Default: 16; Range: 0–100.
FractalEnable or disable fractal. Default: false.
Use Alpha LayerEnable or disable use alpha layer. Default: false.
Fore Color XSet fore color x for this effect. Default: 0.95; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Fore Color YSet fore color y for this effect. Default: 0.95; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Fore Color ZSet fore color z for this effect. Default: 0.95; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Fore Color WSet fore color w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Back Color XSet back color x for this effect. Default: 0.75; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Back Color YSet back color y for this effect. Default: 0.75; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Back Color ZSet back color z for this effect. Default: 0.75; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Back Color WSet back color w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Alpha PercentSet alpha percent for this effect. Default: 100; Range: 0–100.

If something is wrong

If a required image/source is missing, select it in the corresponding file/source control. If the effect is clipped, review its expansion controls.

Stop or remove

Bypass the effect to retain settings. Select it and choose Delete to remove it.
