MCast Gradient

Applies the gradient visual effect.

Before you start

Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.

Where to find it

Source right-click > Filters > Add Filter.

Use it

  1. Select the source and open Filters.
  2. Choose Add Filter.
  3. Search for MCast Gradient and add it.
  4. Adjust the controls below in the live preview.
  5. Compare with bypass enabled.
  6. Keep the effect only if the result suits the scene.

Controls and additional tasks

Reset returns defaults; disable bypasses without deletion. Filter order affects the picture.

Effect settings

Expand LeftAdd space at the left edge for effect pixels outside the source. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand RightAdd space at the right edge for effect pixels outside the source. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand TopAdd space above the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand BottomAdd space below the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Start Color XSet start color x for this effect. Default: 0.1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Start Color YSet start color y for this effect. Default: 0.3; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Start Color ZSet start color z for this effect. Default: 0.1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Start Color WSet start color w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Start stepSet start step for this effect. Default: 0.15; Range: 0–1.
Middle Color XSet middle color x for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Middle Color YSet middle color y for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Middle Color ZSet middle color z for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Middle Color WSet middle color w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Middle stepSet middle step for this effect. Default: 0.4; Range: 0–1.
End Color XSet end color x for this effect. Default: 0.75; Range: -1000000–1000000.
End Color YSet end color y for this effect. Default: 0.75; Range: -1000000–1000000.
End Color ZSet end color z for this effect. Default: 0.75; Range: -1000000–1000000.
End Color WSet end color w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
End stepSet end step for this effect. Default: 0.9; Range: 0–1.
Alpha percentSet alpha percent for this effect. Default: 90; Range: 0–100.
Pulse speedAdjust pulse speed; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 0; Range: 0–100.
EaseEnable or disable ease. Default: false.
Rotate ColorsEnable or disable rotate colors. Default: false.
Apply To Alpha LayerEnable or disable apply to alpha layer. Default: true.
Apply To Specific ColorEnable or disable apply to specific color. Default: false.
Color To Replace XSet color to replace x for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Color To Replace YSet color to replace y for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Color To Replace ZSet color to replace z for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Color To Replace WSet color to replace w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
HorizontalEnable or disable horizontal. Default: false.
VerticalEnable or disable vertical. Default: false.
gradient center width percentageAdjust gradient center width percentage; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 50; Range: 0–100.
gradient center height percentageAdjust gradient center height percentage; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 50; Range: 0–100.

If something is wrong

If a required image/source is missing, select it in the corresponding file/source control. If the effect is clipped, review its expansion controls.

Stop or remove

Bypass the effect to retain settings. Select it and choose Delete to remove it.
