Visual effects
MCast Rainbow
Applies the rainbow visual effect.
Before you start
Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.
Where to find it
Source right-click > Filters > Add Filter.
Use it
- Select the source and open Filters.
- Choose Add Filter.
- Search for MCast Rainbow and add it.
- Adjust the controls below in the live preview.
- Compare with bypass enabled.
- Keep the effect only if the result suits the scene.
Controls and additional tasks
Reset returns defaults; disable bypasses without deletion. Filter order affects the picture.
Effect settings
| Setting | Use and limits |
|---|---|
| Expand Left | Add space at the left edge for effect pixels outside the source. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999. |
| Expand Right | Add space at the right edge for effect pixels outside the source. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999. |
| Expand Top | Add space above the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999. |
| Expand Bottom | Add space below the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999. |
| Saturation | Adjust the saturation of the result. Default: 0.8; Range: 0–1. |
| Luminosity | Set luminosity for this effect. Default: 0.5; Range: 0–1. |
| Spread | Set spread for this effect. Default: 3.8; Range: 0.5–10. |
| Speed | Adjust speed; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 2.4; Range: -10–10. |
| Rotation Offset | Adjust rotation offset; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 100; Range: 0–100. |
| Vertical | Enable or disable vertical. Default: false. |
| Rotational | Adjust rotational; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: false. |
| Rotation Offset | Adjust rotation offset; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 0; Range: 0–6.28318531. |
| Apply To Image | Enable or disable apply to image. Default: false. |
| Replace Image Color | Enable or disable replace image color. Default: false. |
| Apply To Specific Color | Enable or disable apply to specific color. Default: false. |
| Color To Replace X | Set color to replace x for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000. |
| Color To Replace Y | Set color to replace y for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000. |
| Color To Replace Z | Set color to replace z for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000. |
| Color To Replace W | Set color to replace w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000. |
If something is wrong
If a required image/source is missing, select it in the corresponding file/source control. If the effect is clipped, review its expansion controls.
Stop or remove
Bypass the effect to retain settings. Select it and choose Delete to remove it.
