How do I switch between reusable content items?

Follow this workflow to switch between reusable content items.

Before you start

Prepare the content group and the items to display.

Where to find it

Layout Docks > Dynamic Content; File > Options > Dynamic Groups.

Steps

  1. Create a group in File > Options > Dynamic Groups.
  2. Add a Dynamic Text, Dynamic Image, or Dynamic Video source.
  3. Choose its Group and box settings.
  4. Open Dynamic Content.
  5. Add content to the group.
  6. Select the content to display it.

Check the result

Select different items and verify the source updates as intended.

Helpful information

Reorder with Up/Down. Notes and Info help organize content. Edit text directly, edit an image in Image Editor, or set a dynamic video playback range. Template fields let a content item supply exposed motion-template values. Existing image content is not replaced in place; remove the item and add the new image. Template assignments are shared across collection layouts. To organize the content list, choose New Group in the dock. Right-click an item, choose Move to Group, and select its destination. If multiple items are selected, the move applies to the selection. Right-click a group to expand/collapse or rename it. Delete Group (keep items) removes the organization group while retaining its content items. These content-list groups are distinct from the Dynamic Groups selected in source properties.

If something is wrong

If nothing changes, check the assigned group and currently selected item.
