Data sources and projects
Load table-like data for motion graphics and live values.
Before you start
Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.
Where to find it
Tools > Data Sources Manager.
Use it
- Choose Projects > Manage and create/select a project.
- Choose Data Source > Manage.
- Choose New and the source type.
- Enter Name and File or URL.
- Set connection/source options.
- Choose Connect.
- Select columns to use.
- Set refresh/row movement and Save.
Controls and additional tasks
Available types are CSV, Excel, Google Sheets, RSS, Text, XML, JSON, API JSON, and API XML. Use first row as column names and Convert rows to columns change the table shape. XPath selects XML content. API key mode/key name apply where offered. Auto refresh updates data; Auto next advances rows; their default intervals are five seconds. Loop repeats row movement. All/None changes selected columns.

| Refresh interval | Default is 5 seconds. Turn Auto refresh off to disable automatic refresh. Minimum: 1; Maximum: 3600. |
| Auto refresh | Reload source data at the configured interval. |
| Auto next interval | Default is 5 seconds. Turn Auto next off to disable automatic row movement. Minimum: 1; Maximum: 3600. |
| Auto next | Advance to the next data row at the configured interval. |
| Loop | Repeat the content or sequence. |
| Connect | Use this action for the selected item. |
| All | Use this action for the selected item. |
| None | Use this action for the selected item. |
| Save | Save the edited settings. |
| Cancel | Close without saving the pending edits. |
| Project Name | Set project name for this item. |
