Network inputs

SRT Input

Receive a live SRT stream.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. For capture or network inputs, have the device or sender available.

Where to find it

Sources > Add > SRT Input.

Use it

  1. Open the scene that will contain the source.
  2. Choose Add in Sources.
  3. Select SRT Input in Create Source.
  4. Enter a name and choose New.
  5. Choose Mode: caller, listener, or rendezvous.
  6. Enter Host and Port.
  7. Enter Stream ID if required.
  8. Match encryption and latency with the sender.
  9. Check the generated Input URL.
  10. Choose Save and Close (or OK where shown).
  11. Check the source in Preview before taking it to Program.

Controls and additional tasks

Port accepts 1–65535. A passphrase, if used, needs at least 10 characters. Encryption key length 0 means no encryption. Local and peer latency trade delay for network tolerance. Width/Height set the scene item size, not the incoming stream resolution. Use Extra input options only with settings supplied for your feed.

If something is wrong

If it does not connect, match mode, host, port, stream ID, and encryption with the sender.

Stop or remove

Hide the source to stop showing its picture. Use its available playback/connection stop control when you need to stop the input itself. Remove the source item from the scene when it is no longer needed. Shared sources can still be used in other scenes.
