RIST Input

Receive a live RIST stream with recovery settings.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. For capture or network inputs, have the device or sender available.

Where to find it

Sources > Add > RIST Input.

Use it

  1. Open the scene that will contain the source.
  2. Choose Add in Sources.
  3. Select RIST Input in Create Source.
  4. Enter a name and choose New.
  5. Choose Profile.
  6. Enter RIST URL.
  7. Set recovery buffer and packet options.
  8. Match Shared secret and Encryption if used.
  9. Choose Save and Close (or OK where shown).
  10. Check the source in Preview before taking it to Program.

Controls and additional tasks

A larger recovery buffer tolerates longer interruptions and adds latency. Scene item width and height set placement size.
