Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how MCast Studio collects, uses and protects information when you use our website, user account portal, admin-managed licensing system, payment checkout and MCast Studio desktop application.
Information we collect
We may collect account details such as name, email address, mobile number, country, city and address when you create or update your MCast Studio account.
For licensing we store plan name, license key, license status, trial dates, expiry dates, update entitlement, feature entitlements, device activation records, device identifiers or fingerprints, app version, activation time and security or audit events.
For purchases we store order identifiers, selected plan, amount, currency, payment gateway name, payment order id, payment status and invoice or billing metadata. We do not store full card numbers, UPI credentials, bank passwords or payment instrument secrets on our servers.
For authentication and abuse prevention we may process Firebase Auth identifiers, Google login information, email/password login metadata, reCAPTCHA Enterprise assessment data, IP-derived security signals, request logs and basic browser/device information.
How we use information
We use this information to create and manage accounts, validate licenses, activate devices, enforce plan limits, show upgrade options, process orders, generate invoices, prevent fraud, troubleshoot support issues and improve the product experience.
The desktop app may contact our licensing API to refresh license tokens, check expiry, read feature entitlements, track device activation limits and apply suspend or revoke status when required.
Payments
Payments are processed through the payment gateway selected in our admin settings, currently Cashfree by default with Razorpay available as an alternative. Payment pages and payment instruments are handled by the gateway. We receive only the payment/order status and identifiers needed to activate the license and maintain order history.
Sharing of data
We share data only with service providers needed to operate MCast Studio, such as Firebase/Google Cloud for hosting, authentication, functions and database services, reCAPTCHA Enterprise for abuse prevention, and payment gateways for checkout and payment verification.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to prevent fraud or to enforce our Terms and Conditions.
Data security
Admin operations are protected by Google login and server-side authorization. Sensitive payment secrets are stored server-side and are not returned to the browser. License and payment operations are verified by Firebase Functions instead of relying only on client-side checks.
Data retention
We retain account, order, license, audit and device activation records for as long as needed to provide the software, maintain licensing integrity, comply with tax/accounting needs, resolve disputes and prevent abuse.
Your choices
You can update profile information from the user portal. You can contact us for account, license or privacy requests. Some records, such as order, payment, tax, audit and anti-fraud logs, may need to be retained for business, legal or security reasons.
